As a key member of the OEM Machine Building Team, the Senior Industrial Controls Electrician/Technician will work efficiently as a team player or independently while being quality-conscious and adhering to safety guidelines and established company procedures. Duties will include interpretation of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings and schematics as well as installation of wiring/piping and mechanical assembly of machine components.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Wiring of custom industrial control panels and enclosures.
- Installation and wiring of industrial control components on automated assembly equipment. Examples include: Motors and motor controls. Robotics. Various sensors. Pneumatic and hydraulic valves. Ancillary equipment interface wiring. HMI and Pushbutton Panels and Enclosures. Ethernet and other industrial communication networks.
- Assist with startup and debug equipment on the production floor and at a customer’s site.
- Occasional on-site service.
- Consistently meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
- Be dependable, highly attentive to detail and able to work as part of a team and independently.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of five plus (5+) years wiring industrial control panels and automation equipment.
- Must have OEM experience
- Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
- Understanding of Safety Equipment & Circuits.
- Ability to generate wire labels on a PC and be familiar with Microsoft Office.
- Wiring of Robotic systems.
- Thorough understanding of National Electric Code and NFPA 79.
- Trained in Arc Flash Safety, NFPA 70E
Experience Desired (But NOT Required):
- Ability to use AutoCAD Electrical.
- UL 508 panel wiring.
- Ability to understand and modify PLC, HMI, and robot programs.
- Piping of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Education:
Formal training in wiring techniques and codes used in industrial environments and a High School Diploma or equivalent.
